We walked in and sat down at the bar. We were flipping through the drink menu and asked the bartender for a couple waters. She dropped the water off and left for several minutes. We asked for two long islands. She pulled up on the screen how to make them. I guess they use lemonade as a mixer for it and the drinks were left tasting exactly like lemonade. She dropped those off and then left for several minutes again. Our intent was to order food but we were never provided food menus! There were only two other bar guests as well. Meanwhile a man with a giant portable air conditioner was trying to get that set up. A server asked the manager if her table could move to a cooler spot as they were too hot. The manager said no as it would cool off soon. It seemed like a complete chaotic disaster and we will not return.

Terrible cheese burger with stale fries. Service was fair. Not a positive or friendly atmosphere.

The whole family ate here last night, four generations. I wish I had written down our waiter's name because he did an outstanding job. His name was short with four letters like brad or rick or john. he helped my grandmother pick out food she would like, she basically ordered a meal that didn't exist on the menu. where he made a mistake entering one meal he didn't blame anyone or the computer. he took the fault even if that wasn't the case. very classy. the meals were all well cooked and came out as high quality, the only thing not liked was a personal preference on how spicy it was. treat this night as a standard of how to operate and you'll have more than a handful of tables filled at once on a Tuesday.

Every once in a while Ruby Tuesday offers coupons in the newspaper. We have done this once before and had a good experience, so when I saw the 25% off coupon in the Star the other day, I snipped it and a few days later, off we went for North Kansas City. We went rather late, about 9-ish on a Monday evening. It wasn't very busy and we were seated immediately. Our server was a bright, energetic, polite young lady. We both ordered the salad bar to go with our meals. I had the Shellfish Trio and my companion had the Petit Sirloin. First of all, I was pleasantly surprised at how well kept the salad bar was. I had thought before we got there that it would picked over and slowly-decomposing food bits would be scattered about with a slop of salad dressing oozing here and there and some wayward sunflower seeds in unseemly places like the pickled beets. But, that didn't happen! Thank goodness! Everything was fresh, neat, organized. It appeared to me that someone had been keeping up with it. And when I sat down to dig in? Everything was superbly crispy and fresh. No wilted, discolored lettuce and no gluey potato salad or drying pasta salad with unidentifiable foreign objects contained within. Nothing but a good tasting salad. Then, the Shellfish Trio came. A lobster tail, some grilled shrimp and a crab cake. I ordered white cheddar mashed potatoes and onion rings with my dinner. My companion ordered the same sides. The lobster tail was a bit tough but I'm not going to complain. It still tasted good and dipping it in garlic butter made it all the better. The grilled shrimp were superbly prepared. Tender and garlicky and a delight on which to dine. The crab cake was IT. Best tasting crab cake I have had outside the Maryland Shore. I kid you not ma deahs...Totally awesome crabcakes with nice pieces of crab and not just lukewarm, snotty stuffing with some wilted scallion or squishy onion bits. No, the crab cake wasn't artistic in shape or form but the tastes were flawless. Crab meat, spices, texture of the filler, a homey brown, crust. AWESOME! The mashed potatoes were cooked and seasoned well with a delightful complement of the mild, white cheddar cheese. PERFECT! The onion rings were a dream! With real onions! Not the scuzzy onion slurry that has been molded into a ring and then dipped in batter and fried. NO, these were real onions dipped in a nice crispy batter and served piping hot and not sweating a gallon of grease all over the plate. This combination was truly remarkable and made for a spectacular dining evening. Now, before some of you start going all circus-freaque crazy on my behind, we try very hard to patronize our local independent Kansas City area restauranteurs. In fact, we pride ouselves on that. But, we can also recognize a deal from the chains and the chains aren't all bad brothers and sisters. Ruby Tuesday provided a great value and a great meal in pleasant surroundings. Like I said, this was our second vist and again, another positive experience. We WILL be back.

Trust is everything, I'll get back to that, went to ruby tuesdays early Saturday night, got seated right away, server took our drink order, said she would bring biscuits, we waited and waited, finally she brought the drinks, no biscuits, we ordered, finally she brought 4 little biscuits, she brought the meals, I asked for more biscuits, I asked where my baked potato was, she said she would be right back, the manager came over and asked what was wrong, I ordered the crab cake meal and got the appetizer, he said he would bring the potato but leave the appetizer price, the server brought the potato after I was long finished but it didn't matter because it was so dry I couldn't eat it, time to pay, we had a coupon and asked to pick the one that would save the most on the check. Here's the trust part, the chose the one that was to their advantage and charged full price for the crab cake dinner. Will never go back.

Stephanie, the manager, goes out her way to make you feel at home. Their New Orleans style gumbo is the closest thing I've had to the real gumbo you get in Louisiana. happy hour drink specials anytime is great.

Shawn is pretty cool! He remembers you even after months of seeing you, along with knowing you, he remembers what you'll have! The food is a 7 out of 10, but the environment is nice. The managers are not nice, I've watched them time and again either berate staff or just watch servers needing help. Doesn't seem to be a lot of support.

The Boston Blue burger was just delicious. Sweet sauce. Tangy cheese, Crispy O-rings. Whole grain bun... toasted. Tender and juicy patty. Good stuff. People love to poopoo chains, but this burger was a solid effort. : )

Enjoyed our food and service. Didn't care for the rude patrons at the 20 top table next to us complaining about their bill. Just some advice for those coming here if you have a group of 20 and they are all arriving at different times and you don't tell the waitress that it is all on separate checks until the end of your meal then don't get pissed at her because she mixes up a couple drinks and appetizers between peoples bills. To tell the manager that comes over to deal with the situation that "its not our problem to figure out how much we owe and who had what, she should have been doing her job" just makes me want to come strangle you. I just hope the poor waitress charged them the highest gratuity she could since she wasn't getting anything over it for sure.

My wife and I went out to lunch seeking redemption after having a bad chinese food buffet the night before. It was about one-thirty on a monday afternoon and we picked Ruby Tuesdays because we've had a good time before at a different location. We were seated quickly, and the server showed up fast to take our drink order. Everything was on the up and up until I asked for a straw. The server took it out of her apron and tossed it on the table in front of me. I was thinking to myself okay; not that big of a deal; so what. I would have rather her handed it to me. She was really good about refilling drinks before the food arrived but was not so good after. My wife had a Turkey Burger, would have been a Avacado Turkey Burger but they were out of Avacados. I had the Bacon Burger, would have been a Blue Burger, but they were out of taking correct orders. I ate my bacon burger because I do enjoy a tasty bacon cheese burger. Must have been an act of God because it was very tasty, and so were the fries. The Turkey Burger was good too. We enjoyed our food even though the order wasn't right. Oh yeah the server came back to refill our drinks after we were done eating. My wife told her about the hamburger but I don't think it was registering. Overall good but with a few hiccups.

I get nervous giving out 5 stars, but this place deserves it! Stephanie is the nicest waitress I have ever had, and neighboring waiter Caleb treated me like I was his table, even though he wasn't getting my tip. It was clear that everyone loved their jobs. Our food took a little while to come out, and before I could even complain in my head, they came to my table and made it right. They wanted to make sure that my first visit to Ruby Tuesday was a good one, and they were hella successful in that. This is instantly one of my favorite restaurants, and I think all of the excellent customer service and delicious food is a reflection of the good management on the shift. I've never been so impressed, and I highly HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone who values being treated like they are actually valued. One thing I did not like was the price, though if they have to mark-up a little bit to attract the quality servers they have, then I'm 10000% fine with paying 10-20% more than applebees or Chili's. Ruby Tuesday, thank you for making my Friday awesome!

Don't go here for your birthday, We went to the one by the airport, I told the hostess that we had a birthday girl and was met with a who cares, had a decent meal but not worth the hundred dollars we paid, ice tea that cost 3.50 a piece, salad bar was ok, chips and dips that cost 8 dollars, all meals were 13 dollars or more, when we were leaving I said to the hostess that I was disappointed that the birthday wasn't acknowledged, she said we don't sing for birthdays and if we told our waitress she would have given us a cupcake that it wasn't her job to pass it along, sad customer service.

I've been to this particular one many times and it's usually a hit or miss luckily today was a hit. It was fairly busy this place seems to attract older people for some reason. Our waitress was fast and friendly. Meal came quickly with no problem. Only con I recall was that they raised the prices on some meals. For two its usually under $25 plus tip, it was $30 plus tip. Overall great place and service.

On Sunday, my dad and I went to Ruby Tuesday. I have been there a few times. When we got there, it was very busy at the bar. We sat down at a booth and we looked at the menus. When we were there, they had a special seafood menu. My dad and I decided that we would get something off of the seafood menu. I went with the Mixed grill and my Dad got himself the Seafood Mixed Grill. We also got the Salad bar with our meals. For my drink, I got a Lemonade Strawberry and my Dad got himself a Lemonade Blackberry. The Lemonade was not too sour and the Strawberry chunks were not too big. When you go to the salad bar, you will see lettuce, chop onions, tomatoes, pasta salads and other things. One of the salads is an apple salad. It has a white sauce that I love and it has celery and raisins also in it. They have a lot of salad dressings you can choose from. My favorite is Honey mustard. Soon the food came. The Jumbo shrimp had a barbecue sauce. The grilled steak had garlic butter on top of it and the chicken came with a mango salsa. The shrimp came on a stick and it was very flavorful. The steak was juicy and it was easy to cut and the chicken was good. The salsa on the chicken was a bit spicy. It did surprise me. I would go there again.
